Teaching
Teaching is an immense privilege and one of the most impactful aspects of what it means to be a scholar. Through teaching, Truong strives to equip students with contextualized knowledge and comparative analytics to grasp and navigate the complexities of social, cultural, and political phenomena. Her broader aim is to instill in students the audacity to ask challenging questions and to think critically from different perspectives, with appreciation for the intersectionality across languages, cultures, and identities. This audacity and sensitivity provide an essential foundation not solely for student’s pursuit of knowledge, but also for students to aspire to the change and social justice that they wish to see, be it through scholarship, public leadership and service, community organization and advocacy, or other creative pathways.
